Kirirom National Park

The Kirirom National Park was known as Phnom Vorvong Sorvong in ancient times. Kirirom means “Happy Mountain”. It is situated on the eastern part of the Cardamom Mountains. It is said to be the first designated national park of Cambodia. The Chambok Waterfall can be seen as it is at a walking distance from Phnom Penh. Trekking in Kirirom begins with Phnom Dat Chivit situated near Kirirom National Park. The distance between Phnom Penh and Kirirom National Park is around 15 kms. The trekking begins and ventures into the pine forest with sound of birds. The view is awesome from the top of the hill.
