The Botum Sakor National Park is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. A peninsula projects from the Cardamom Mountains named Botum Sakor. The park is situated in an area of 183408 hectares and comprises of three districts of Koh Kong Province namely Kiri sakor, Batum Sakor and Koh Kong. The Cambodian Ministry of Environment is responsible for the administration of the park. The entire park consists of flood plains and gentle sloping lowlands. The wildlife of the park comprises of Asian elephants, Indochinese tiger, the sun bear, clouded leopard and many other endangered species.
