Worthersee

This is not only Carinthia’s largest lake, but also its most popular and famous thanks to plenty of film shootings. Wörthersee is 17km long, 1.6km wide and 27°C warm and offers a wealth of activities for the family.

Sports facilities: sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, scuba diving, parasailing, crazy banana and tubing. Europe’s largest bathing beach is located on the lake’s eastern shores and boasts a giant waterslide, the venue of the annual international beach volleyball competition, and is the scene of the yearly Ironman Austria.
