Encircled by the lofty peaks of Totes Gebirge range, this outstanding Deer Park is a 60 ha sanctuary for a wide variety of animals. The terrain is crisscrossed by lovely trails where visitors can stroll around and view over 500 animals of some 70 different species in a natural habitat.

The Cumberland Deer Park has a mandate to protect the well-being and lives of threatened species by establishing EEP programs and a healthier co-existence between people and animals.

The Park is on the natural migratory route for numerous bird species, such as vultures. Discover the natural and cultural history of this wonderful area and learn interesting facts on the local flora & fauna.

There are great remote trails for hiking, which are cleared in the wintertime for people to enjoy unique nature exploration.

Please note that absolutely no dogs are permitted on the Deer Park Grounds!

Guided Tours: Guided 2-hour tours of the Park are available by advance booking at Euro 2.00.

Nearby you´ll find an important Research Station which is focused on studying the organization and elicitation of individual and social behavior patterns of animals and birds in particular.
