The Hallstatt Salt Mines are also situated here. A tour is available in which visitors follow in the footsteps of the "Man in the Salt", and lasts approx. 70 minutes.

The historic "Pipe Line Trail" ("Soleweg") begins here at the summit of the "Salzberg". You can walk to Ebensee (40 km), where the trail ends. Otherwise, follow just part of the trail to Hallstatt, Steeg, Bad Goisern or Ebensee.
