Westfield Carindale

Westfield Carindale is a shopping centre located in the suburb of Carindale, east of Brisbane. The centre is set to become the fifth-largest shopping centre in Australia on completion of the development's final stage. The centre contains a three level Myer department store and a 2 level David Jones department store as well as Big W and Target discount department stores.

The centre also contains Woolworths, Supa IGA and Aldi supermarkets and an eight cinema Birch Carroll & Coyle cinema complex. JB Hi-Fi, Rebel Sport and Best and Less also have stores operating here. The centre contains 284 specialty stores and over 5,500 car parking spaces. Other features include a large food court, Brisbane City Council Library, a town square, and Hotel Carindale. It was the first centre in Queensland to have 2 Major Department Stores in the one centre.[citation needed] After the 1999 renovation, part of this carpetting and skylights were removed due to maintenance and economical issues.
