Hume Power Station

Hume Power Station is a hydroelectric power station at the Hume Weir on the Murray River near Albury, New South Wales, Australia. Hume has two turbines with a combined generating capacity of 58 MW of electricity. The power station was completed in 1957, running two 25 MW turbines. In 2000, they were each upgraded to 29 MW, according to Eraring. The AEMO Registration List also gives the capacities of the two units HUMENSW and HUMEV as 29 MW. However, according to the AEMO Generation Page, the capacity is 0 MW in NSW and 17 MW (available only in summer) in Victoria, suggesting a low average production due to the lack of water in the river. (empty in 2007).
