Heathcote railway station is located on the Illawarra railway line in the southern Sydney suburb of Heathcote. It consists of two side platforms connected by a footbridge with the station building and ticket office located on the up (citybound) platform. Heathcote station opened in 1886, and is usually served by CityRail suburban trains operating between Waterfall and Bondi Junction. The station has street access to both platforms, connected by an overbridge. This allows the station to classed as having assisted Easy Access for wheelchairs.
