Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport

The Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport is the primary airport located near the capital Luanda City in the Luanda Province of the South-West African country of Angola. This official capital of Angola and the main administrative centre is also a major port-city with a population of over 5 million people.

However, this city is currently undergoing a major reconstruction plan with many large developments capable of drastically altering the city landscape. Situated at an elevation of 243 feet above mean sea level this airport is a military cum public facility operated by the Military of Angola. At a convenient driving distance of 5.5 kilometers from Luanda city centre, the Quarto de Fevereiro International Airport is having a couple of asphalt surfaced runways measuring 12,190 feet and 8,530 feet enabling flight movements.

There is a single passenger terminal at this airport catering to all scheduled international and domestic flights apart from some occasional charter services landing here. The terminal is well equipped with basic passenger facilities including currency exchange counters and services for disabled passengers. This airport also happens to be a hub for three large and important regional players of the aviation industry substantially contributing with their scheduled passenger and chartered flight services, and connecting within the global air-map. Car rental and complementary hotel shuttle services are also provided at this airport for passenger convenience. There is a private metered taxi service available outside the main terminal building at the Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport for visitors wanting to move to their choice of hotels or simply get dropped at downtown Luanda.
