Algeria

Algeria is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Al Qal'a of Beni Hammad, Tipasa which was a Phoenician and later served as a Roman town, Tassili n'Ajjer a natural World Heritage Site, Djémila and Timgad, both Roman ruins. The country is a fine blend of tradition and modernization with its colonial past clearly evident in its towns and cities.
