Noumerat - Moufdi Zakaria International Airport

The Noumerat – Moufdi Zakaria International Airport, also known as the Noumerate Airport is an international airport located near Ghardaia, the capital of the Ghardaia Province in the North African nation of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Algeria. Gharaia is a major center of date production and the location of the M’zab Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern-central Algeria in the Sahara Desert, along the left bank of the Wadi M’zab.

Named after the author of Kassaman, which is the Algerian national anthem, the Gharaia Airport serving this region is located at a distance of 16 kilometers to the south-east of the Ghardaia city centre.
